The International Social Justice Commission (ISJC) is The Salvation Army’s strategic voice to advocate for human dignity and social justice with the world's poor and oppressed.

The ISJC is part of The Salvation Army’s International Headquarters (IHQ) and its office is based in New York City.

The ISJC advises the General and other senior leaders at IHQ in matters of social justice.

The directors (Colonels Ian and Wendy Swan), and staff are the Army’s principal international advocates and advisers on the social, economic and political issues and events that perpetuate social injustice in the world. The commission is also the secretariat to the work of the International Moral and Social Issues Council (IMASIC) and the International Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Response Council.
