Hakan’s struggles with addiction and substance abuse started at a very young age. Throughout his life, he experienced traumatic events that pushed him further into addiction and despair. He reached a point where death was the only thing waiting for him – so he chose to give sobriety one last go at The Salvation Army’s William Booth House. This is his story of getting clean, feeling safe and giving back to others.
