The Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES) are partnering with the Queensland State Government and Premier David Crisafulli MP to provide timely assistance to those affected by devastating flooding in North Queensland.

The SAES team consists of coordinating staff stationed across the country and over 3000 volunteers, ready to be deployed when disasters hit. They have now met the basic needs of more than 700 people whose lives have been affected by days of flooding across areas of North Queensland including towns near the Gulf of Carpentaria, and as far east as Ingham.

On his Facebook page, SAES General Manager Daryl Crowden thanked the Queensland Government and Premier for their support.

“[SAES] are pleased to partner with the Queensland Government to support flood-affected families in North Queensland,” Daryl wrote. “Thanks for your support of Salvation Army Emergency Services Queensland team David Crisafulli MP.”
