• Romania hosts annual youth camp

Young people from around Romania gathered in Brazov County for the annual Divisional Youth Camp.

Young people from the Bacău, Bucharest, Buzău and Iasi Corps gathered in picturesque Făgăraș, central Romania, for the 2023 Divisional Youth Event.

The theme of the camp was ‘Reconnect’.

Sleeping in tents was a highlight of the camp.

The young people had the opportunity to reconnect with themselves, with others and last but not least, with God,” said Major Ionuts Sandu, Romania Divisional Commander.

“The highlights included connecting with nature, sleeping in a tent and a visit to Parc Adventura in Brasov.”

Each day, the youth participated in worship, teaching sessions and a range of activities. There was free time and plenty of opportunities for one-on-one discussions and personal responses to God.

Divisional leaders, Major Roxanne and Ionuts Sandu, set the example on the high ropes course.

As the camp concluded, Lieutenant Andrei Fănică, divisional youth secretary, quoted Philippians 1:6, telling the youth that he was “confident that He who hath begun this good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

“God is working in a beautiful way in our division. All glory to him!”
