• Prayer and action against hunger
We believe hunger has no place in the 21st century and is entirely preventable.
The world faces an unprecedented hunger crisis. The storm of conflict, climate change and rising costs are driving children, and families into extremely vulnerable situations.
The number of people affected by acute food insecurity has nearly doubled over the past three years, from 135 million people across 55 countries in 2019, to a record 258 million in 58 countries in 2022.
Join The Salvation Army and other churches and Christian organisations for the third annual Weekend of Prayer and Action on 11-13 October 2024.
We are sharing updated information, liturgies and action-oriented resources for your families and congregations. Resources will be made available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.
