Launceston Corps participated in the annual Easter Alive Children and Families Festival along with about 30 local churches on 8 April.
Corps volunteers served up 250 sausages and 200 nacho bowls free of charge at Riverbend Park. They also provided badge-making and glitter tattoo activities.

“We got to share the love of Jesus and the hope of Easter to our community,” said Aux-Lieut Roderick Brown, Launceston Corps Officer.
“We strive to be present in our community, engage with people and were able to re-establish connections with people we haven’t seen for a while.”
Kelly Brown, Corps Ministry Assistant, mentioned she was able to engage with a student from a local school where she is currently completing a chaplaincy placement.
“It was good to share Christ’s love seen in the events of Easter in a different setting to where I normally engage with them,” Kelly said.
